4th of July weekend in Snowflake

This 4th of July weekend Linus flew us up to Snowflake to visit our friends Jon and Dawniel Flake and their 3 children Keaton, Hayden and Brynn. It was nice to get there in less than an hour instead of the 3 hour long car ride! The Flakes are our good friends from when we lived in Payson. We had so much fun. When we got there we went outside and visited. We were able to lay on the grass and Payten crawled all over exploring! Now you CAN'T do that in the valley summer heat. IT WAS WONDERFUL to escape this hellish heat even for a short weekend! Oh, and Tippy sure did enjoy all the cooool green grass!!

Payten Loved playing with the animals. They have a new Puppy and have a turtle. I guess Payten wanted to taste the turtle!!

Big Boys Playing. Let's face it, they never grow up, and I love it! I know Linus had fun. I caught him walking off holding a gun, I LOVE that picture (although I don't know where he went!). Then him and Jon had to blow things up. The dump truck is evidence. They tried to blow up anything and everything, even an ant hill!!

Payten rode a 4 wheeler with both her mommy and daddy. And a VERY pregnant little horse. She did not like either one.

She had fun Playing with their kids. Keaton, Hayden and Brynn. They are Very cute kids!

The first night was the 4th. We did not see fireworks until the 5th and went to Heber. Dawniel got them all glow bracelets and necklaces. Then the guys took the kids next door to Jon's parents were they were doing there own fireworks show. I did not go cause it was raining and cold, hence why no pictures.

Several times Linus and Jon disappeared sometimes with the boys and sometimes not. They would go out to shoot the rabbits. Apparently there are TONS and they eat their gardens. This time it was with the boys and they came back with this HUGE dragon fly. It gave me the creeps. If you can click on it and zoom in you can see what I am talking about.

Here's to a fun weekend filled with things you can only get away with in a small mountain town. I mean walking around your yard with guns, blowing things up in your back yard, Riding a 4wheeler in your back yard AND you can keep going cause your not surrounded by neighbors, riding horses in your yard and your own private fireworks show! Now if you did most that in the Valley you probably would have the cops at your door!!! THANKS FLAKES!!!
(ok so I just finished everything and realize i do not have a pciture of their whole family together, I will have to post that later, sorry)

My Sleeping Angel

Our fun Saturday ended with a trip to Sam's club. We spent 2 1/2 hrs and way too much money. I had pizza, Linus had a hot dog, we each had a milk shake and a churro and it came to less that $8. WOW now that is a cheap date (excluding the groceries!). When we got home Payten was exhausted, we had skipped her afternoon nap so she screamed for 5 minutes and then fell asleep. When I checked on her she was conked out in this position. TOOO CUTE, I just had to get a picture. She is my angel sleeping or awake!!

Payten eating Sparks' Special

Well Payten is 10 months today, can you believe it. I made Sparks' Special for dinner, yah, I know, gourmet!! So I decided that Payten could eat it with us, after all it is just tomato soup, water, rice and ground beef. As you can tell from the video she LOVED it!! You can actually hear her smack her lips in the video!! The picture was taken when it was all gone, she was sooo sad:( She sure likes to think that she is a BIG GIRL!!

Family trip to the pool!

Linus came home from his IFR cross country today and was hot. So he asked if we wanted to go to the pool. YEAHHHH, we love the pool! Payten sure had fun with her daddy!! I think she is going to be a good little swimmer:)

Dinner with Grandpa

This past Monday my Dad and Debbie came into town. Payten had not seen him yet and neither had Cash. It was nice to see them!!! I love the picture of Cash and Payten, she is always willing to share her binky. Here is a picture with all his grandchildren too.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

To my most wonderful husband and Father, Linus. I could not ask for a better husband to me or father to our wonderful baby. He is the love of my life and Payten adores him. I am grateful every day for him. He works so hard and does so much, he is absolutely AMAZING!! I don't tell him enough just how much I love him. He is my best friend and I love him more than anything!! And an added BONUS he is very handsome!!

REMOTE CONTROL

Today at church my friend Summer pulled a remote control out of her purse to give to her baby to play with. Now why have I not thought of that. We all have a remote control that goes to something that is broken. So when we got home I gave Payten her new toy!! She seemed very happy!! I love her goofy faces in these pictures.

Brett is Home

Last night Brett got home from serving his mission in Veracruz Mexico. It was so nice to see him again. I felt bad for him when he held Payten at Bucca di Beppo. It was 10:00pm and she was so tired. She only wanted her mommy and daddy. Anything could make her cry, even if you looked at her the wrong way!! Little stinker!!

MMMMMMM!

This is my MOST FAVORITE picture ever. Just look at her eyes it says everything!! They were almost popping out of her head!!

This was at Bucca last night. Justin gave her some of his cake. She took a little taste first and then realized what it was and DOVE in.

Needless to say we did not let he eat too much. Man she made a mess all over within SECONDS!!

Yesterday I watched Reagan while Summer got her hair done. They were so cute together. They just looked and smiled at each other. Then I put Reagan in the walker and Payten stood at the toy box. I went to the kitchen for just a second and came out and Payten was giving Reagan toys from the toy box to play with . What good little girls!!

Payten and her cousins

Payten was excited to see her cousins. She has seen them a few times this week I just did not get the camera out. She loves being around other kids. We were sure excited to see little Sally!!

First time to the pool!

Payten had her first trip to our pool today. She fussed for the first 3 seconds maybe cause the water was cool and that was it. She LOVED floating in her floaty toy. She just floated and relaxed. Then she stood on the steps and splashed water on the cool deck. We stayed for an hour and then I made her leave. There were also little kids there playing which I think helped her adjust REALLY quick in the beginning cause she is such a people watcher. I think she is going to love floating and relaxing in the pool as much as her mommy!! I was the tannest one in the delivery room, maybe that had something to do with it?!?!
