To my most wonderful husband and Father, Linus. I could not ask for a better husband to me or father to our wonderful baby. He is the love of my life and Payten adores him. I am grateful every day for him. He works so hard and does so much, he is absolutely AMAZING!! I don't tell him enough just how much I love him. He is my best friend and I love him more than anything!! And an added BONUS he is very handsome!!
Today at church my friend Summer pulled a remote control out of her purse to give to her baby to play with. Now why have I not thought of that. We all have a remote control that goes to something that is broken. So when we got home I gave Payten her new toy!! She seemed very happy!! I love her goofy faces in these pictures.
Payten was excited to see her cousins. She has seen them a few times this week I just did not get the camera out. She loves being around other kids. We were sure excited to see little Sally!!
Payten had her first trip to our pool today. She fussed for the first 3 seconds maybe cause the water was cool and that was it. She LOVED floating in her floaty toy. She just floated and relaxed. Then she stood on the steps and splashed water on the cool deck. We stayed for an hour and then I made her leave. There were also little kids there playing which I think helped her adjust REALLY quick in the beginning cause she is such a people watcher. I think she is going to love floating and relaxing in the pool as much as her mommy!! I was the tannest one in the delivery room, maybe that had something to do with it?!?!
I thought I would add a few pictures since it has been a while. These are from a couple weeks ago at Kapri's house. Her right eye was purple-ish red all around cause of her clogged tear duct along with the sunscreen. Matt edited that for me (thanks) but she still has the weepy eye. Poor thing. I still LOVE these those.

Well I think my baby is a genius. She has only had these finger foods 3 or 4 times and she does it by herself. Of course at first she would rather have had me feed her but I made her do it by herself and I think she was pretty proud of herself. As for the sippy cup who knew?? She did not really understand it, I had to put her hands on it yesterday and show her. She really didn't care and wanted me to hold it for her. Well today I walked in and she was holding it like this and drinking, just a fluke?? I don't know, but I like to think she is brilliant. I guess we'll see if she continues to do it right?!?!?!!I thought this would be nice to add this for all of the friends and family out of state. Payten is growing so fast!! She has been crawling for about a month or more and for a few months been scooting and army crawling, but she has really got it down and getting faster and faster. She loves her new found freedom. I find her all over the house now. I leave the room for a couple of seconds and I have to go room to room to find her. When I do she looks at me and smile and laughs. She loves it and I do too!! I know parents usually don't like it when their children start getting mobile, but I LOVE IT! I love watching her advance and grow every day. I can see it in her eyes that she knows and understands everything she does. It is wonderful. I just have to keep on my toes, but I don't mind. I love her more and more everyday!! I am the luckiest mother in the world!! I LOVE calling myself a MOTHER, MOMMY, MOM, etc... HOW WONDERFUL is my life?!?!?!!! (I forgot to point out that she loves to pant. She only does a little in this video, but in real life she does it whenever she is excited, happy, sad, etc. It is really cute)
We were invited to go to the park to meet Lynsey and some of her friends (mine too from Lynsey) for her birthday. Payten loves to wear her hat and does not take it off. I had tried the sun glasses before (Aunt "B" gave them to her for Easter) but it was in the house and she took them right off. HOWEVER in the sun she seems to keep them on. Doesn't she look sooooo ADORABLE!! OHHH how I LOVE having my little girl. She is the love of my life and her daddy too!
