I figured not one would want licked on cupcakes:) But she sure had TONS OF FUN!!

Payten had so much fun this Halloween. She was very excited to be a Nice and pretty witch!! We did trunk or treating at the church Saturday night and she had a BLAST(and Uncle Brett stopeed by)!! Then on Halloween she got to hand out candy. She was SOOOOO excited to answer the door and see everyone. She got so excited about every ones costumes, it was so cute! It is fun that she is growing up and excited about all of the holidays. I remember not too long ago when Holidays were no fun! Glad i have my little angel to make things WONDERFUL!!!

Here is our Hawaii Trip. Things might be out of order but I will just say what the pics are.

We stopped by the temple on the way to the condo when we first got there. It was BEAUTIFUL! Linus picked the yellow flower and put it in my hair and then we took a picture of me to send to Payten! I was already missing her and we had just got there!!!

Payten wanted to be a birthday princess all day! Mommy said YES!! Daddy and I woke her up and put her crown on her head while singing happy birthday. I even let her wear this fairy outfit out ALL DAY!(last years Halloween costume) She beamed from ear to ear all day! She loved all the attention!

After we had our goodies with dad we all went to her doctors appointment. Poor little girl got her first shots EVER!! I don't have any pictures but she TOTALLY didn't know what was coming. She cried for just a few seconds, I think her feelings were hurt more that anything! I love my little girl more than ever!! These past 3 years have gone by much too quickly. I hope they slow down so I can enjoy her more!!

Here is Payten swimming. She has only had 2 swimming lessons. Today they worked on her "ice cream scoop arms" with BOTH hands not just one. She is doing so well!! She actually did both arms. I love that when she swims she will say "I am a fish!"

4th of July

We went to Payson on 4th of July Sunday for church and then to Linus' parents. We had a bbq, homemade ice cream and watched the fireworks from the back patio. MUCH nice than being in the hot valley fighting crowds!!

The teacher would put the tumbling mat down and and it would put wind on the girls. I think this was their favorite part!!

This is basically all Payten would do during dance class. Spins in a circle the whole time oblivious to anything and anyone else!! While the other girls where following what the teacher was doing mine was in the background spinning consume by the music!! I am upset I forgot to video the rest of the class dancing and Payten spinning as a loner in the back! DANG IT!!

14th Anniversary and Mother's Day 2010

This is what I came home to on our anniversary. We went out the Saturday after our anniversary to celebrate. We got an actual baby sitter(not family, YIKES!) for the first time. We went and saw Iron Man 2 and then went to dinner. It was VERY nice to be alone, but I missed Payten the whole time and thought about her constantly!! I am glad to have had my honey for these past 14 years, He is the BEST!!

Payten on Mother's day. Linus gave her one of my roses from our anniversary to give to me in bed. So she came in and gave it to me and said "HERE!" I loved her and said thank-you and then she demanded it back and kept it!!

I love this one. It was her turn to hide the eggs. I was able to get her to hide 2 of them somewhere else. But she got to her sand box and unloaded them as fast as she could giggling the whole time:)

Soooooo this outfit, you like it?!! Every time she wakes up in the morning or we get back from going somewhere she immediately strips down to her panties and HAS to put this skirt on. It has been at least 3 weeks now. She throws a fit if I ask her to put a shirt on. I gave into this battle and let her win, not worth it to me. She will let me get her dressed to go somewhere so I am happy with that! Gotta love it when they get their personality!!

Payten has bee looking at my wedding album so I have been trying to teach her about getting married in the temple. At least one time a day she will say "Payten get married in the temple" mind you the word temple sounds like diaper so it took me a while to figure it out! So this after noon I told her mommy and daddy were going to the temple (christian went through today). She got so excited and said "mommy daddy get married in temple!!" Then when we left and she couldn't come she cried and said "Payten get married in temple tooooo!!!" She was so sad she could not go. I think we need to take her to the temple so she can at least put a personal experience with the word. Man, I love my little girl!!

Santa 2009

Payten was so excited to see Santa. But when it got to be her turn she was a little reluctant. Hence the very serious look on her face. Luckily Gabby was with me and put her on his lap so I could take some pictures. She did not want to look at him but she did say "Ask Santa Bike"!! We practiced that one. I still don't think she understands the whole Santa thing but she loves it all the same!

On a side note people today seemed to not be or want to control their kids. There were these 2 boys in line that kept pushing Payten and trying to cut making her cry and get upset before Santa. This wasn't just once the moms just didn't care. Then right when the people in front of us were getting their pictures taken they were running into the pics. The moms just didn't care!

THEN in childrens place we were in line to check out and this 5 yr old kid saw Gabby get some fishy crackers out for Payten and ran up to her demanding some! The mom said yes ask for some!! SERIOUSLY! Then when I got to check out I turned the stroller away from them. Then Payten started crying because the same kid came up to her and was stealing the crackers from her in the high chair. The mom just DID NOT CARE!! Now I don't care about the crackers but am I the only one trying to teach my child manners! Kids do things I know but you have to teach them that what they did was WRONG! Thanks for letting me rant!

Payten loves Birthdays ever since her 2nd birthday. But on her daddy's birthday I kept telling her "it's daddy's birthday" and she would say "NO". I don't know why she was being a stinker. but as soon as we brought the cake out she said "Happy Birthday Daddy" with her eyes all lit up. I guess she just needed to see the ice cream cake!

Payten liked this outfit so much she got her "GASSES" and purse for it then pushed her stroller and said she was going to work! I wonder where she works?? Hmmmmm!

We bought Payten a soccer ball at least a couple of months ago. She has loved it that whole time and has to sleep with it most times but she really did not KNOW what is was. Linus finally able to take her to the park and teach her to play soccer. She caught on really quick and understood she was not suppose to touch the ball with her hands. She would even kick it pretty hard, you can see her leg in some of the pictures. She really was trying hard to do what daddy said. She had a BLAST!! And daddy did too:)

Singing Sensation!

Linus bought this antenna so we could watch tv from our laptops. Well, little did we know that it is really a microphone. Payten just took it and started singing. Watch out Taylor Swift! She actually got even more into it after I stopped filming. She stood in front of the oven door so she could watch herself sing. And she even got LOUDER!! Oh and when she watches this video she says "Payten Pretty!" I wonder if she is mimicking how I sing. Lets hope I am not THAT bad!

Since her hair is so straight and baby fine I bought rag curlers. I think it turned out really cute:) I would definitely recommend them.

Such beautiful hair I had to show off the back of it.

I love my little fairy. She had such a fun time. We only went to 2 houses. She loved opening the screen door for everyone. If I helped her at all she screamed and closed it and re-opened it herself. She loved seeing all of the "scary monsters". I am glad she was happy handing out the candy instead of collecting it all!

Before we handed out candy we went to a friends house to have soup. It was yummy and Payten loved jumping on the trampoline with her friends. Aren't they so cute!

Payten loved going to pick out her pumpkin. She has been obsessed with pumpkins since she saw her first one about a month ago. Every where we go she says "mommy, Cool pumpkin".

However when we got home and Linus cut the top and pulled it off and all the guts and seeds were hanging she came screaming over to me "yucky, dirty pumpkin nooooo"! I wish I had had my video on but I did not expect it. It was super cute!!

Dont ask why but Payten needed her diaper changed (#2) and he volunteered?? Needless to say he did not volunteer again!! It was quite funny to watch. He threw one of the poopy wipes at Abby to torment her!!

This was the high light for Payten and a couple of other little ones. A hole that was filled with little rocks so they got to throw them all out of it! FUN! Oh and bishops daughter was so sweet to take Payten hand in hand with her up and down the ravine so she would not fall. She took good care of Payten.

Nice huh?! We got Payten a new outfit for church, a cute new long jean skirt and these cute brown boots. After church she took a nap in just her onesie then she got up and I changed her diaper and left it unbuttoned. She just HAD to have her BOOTS on. She thought she was SUUUUPER cute in this outfit!! The last picture is on of her famous poses but even better with this outfit on. She likes to try to do the splits and hold it like that for a long time. I have tried it, it is much more difficult than it looks:)

My happy little birthday girl. She had such a fun day or should I say fun week. We celebrated it from Tuesday (her actual birthday) through Friday when we had a little party. After it all she now knows what "Birthday" means. Now whenever she hears that word she repeats it and gets all excited!!

I love this picture. I just had to take on of her during prayer. Her face looks so cute! She concentrates so hard on folding her arms and closing her eyes. You can tell how hard she is concentrating because of her tongue sticking out!! now she has starting repeating what we say during the prayer. She says it in this wierd strange almost freakish voice. It is SO funny I dont know why she changes her voice but I love it!

What Payten needs in her crib when she goes to sleep keeps growing. She thinks it is necessary to have at least 9 things to be able to fall asleep. A night night, duck, Tinker Bell, a car, 1 turtle, another littler turtle, a bear, a Tinker Bell bouncy ball(in her hand) and a sippy cup with water. hopefully she gets a good night sleep:) I just love her to death. She is so much fun!

The Addict

This is her binky now after her tantrums today!! She knows she only gets it when she goes to bed and when we get her up she has to put it in her crib. For the past few days she has been throwing fits and screaming and holding on to it when we tell her to leave it in her bed. Today was the WORST! So needless to say we lost our cool, took ALL of her binky's away. This one was her favorite so in front of her Linus cut a slit in the tip while she was screaming and gave it to her. She took it, sucked it and was happy. Soooo we cut a chunk off the top and the same thing she was happy and sucked it. SOOOOO we cut a HUGE chunk off. She was mad about it and has tried to keep it in her mouth but it keeps falling out. We told her it is yucky(if you know yucky with Payten you will understand) So she calls it her "yucky binky"! BUT she had to take her nap with it. Hopefully she will lose interest in it other wise I guess she gets this botched up binky!!

The videos are actually in reverse, actually this whole post but I dont want to redo it. The first one is after we let her out of her room and after the first chunk cut out. the last video is of her in her room kicking and hitting her door cause she has no binky!

And Yes, I would have a binky baby again. She loved it and it pacified her for the first 2 years of her life and that was WONDERFUL!!! I think it helped her be the perfect baby that she was. It is just now time to be a BIG girl!!

13 Years!

Last Saturday(the actual day was monday the 4th) we celebrated our 13th Anniversary by going on a HOT DATE to Ruth's Chris Steak House. We had a very nice time. I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful husband and father. He is absolutely wonderful and I definitely do not deserve him! It was nice and quiet and not hurried. Nate and Bethany watched Payten for us. They took her to a buffalo wing place and watched the game. Lets just say that I think Payten may have had more fun than we did!! When we got home just after they did and we said lets get in your pajamas and she ran to Nate for protection!! Needless to say she realized that other people may be more fun than boring old mom and dad:)

1st Water day of the year!

Last Thursday Carson invited Payten over to go swimming in their new pool. You can tell by her face that she loved it! She was a little reluctant at first and stood in the same spot for about 10 minutes smiling and laughing and then ventured out and played! Hopefully we will have many more water days in this horrible heat!

Last enrichment night i got home about 9pm and Linus and Payten were not home. Turned out he decided to take her to Oregano's for a pazookie! She had so much fun with her daddy! You can just tell by the big smile on her face! Oh, I love that she is standing up so she can get at the pazookie better. She is no dummy and she LOVES to eat!

After the airport we met at the Keg by San Tan Mall for dinner. Payten got ice cream AKA "I SCREAM" for dessert with her dinner. Payten loved that I did not try to feed it to her. She thought she was a big girl with a big girl cup, she refused to use a spoon so she just drank it!! I love that she got it all over her face. Sorry the video is dark, the restaurant was really dark, but I just love it so I had to share!

Saturday Linus Payten and I visited Poppy at the airport. Payten always gets spoiled when she is there. Poppy lets her do pretty much whatever she wants and she know it. He took her around all the planes in the hanger and let her touch everything. Then he opened this one up and let her play in it. It was big and roomy so she could walk around and everything. Then she wanted the door closed so she could play by herself. She had a blast in her new playhouse!!

I took these pictures a week ago. We were in the back yard and I told Payten to smell the flowers. To my surprise she sniffed them again and again and again. I love the first picture with the sun rays. I think she looks like an angel. Don't get me wrong, she is a little stinker. Today at the play ground all she would do is go up to the kids on the swing and YELL "NO" at them. Because all she wants to do is swing and nothing else and they were all taken. She must think they are all hers:D

The last night we were there Nate got home at 9pm from coaching volleyball and was sad that Payten was already in bed. He had not been able to see her too much because of volleyball tournaments. So I told him to go get her out of bed. We do it all the time and she is usually happy and then goes back to bed again right when we put her down.

As you can see she was happy. She brought Nate books for him to read to her. Nate however did think the books were quite boring, none the less read them to her! Oh and yes, she went back to bed and fell right to sleep!

Payten cam down one time from Abby's room wearing all of thins fun Jewelry that Abby had put on her. Payten had so much fun. All she wanted to do was go in Abby's room and explore!! Abby was so good to her and the 2 of them had lots of fun!

Ok, here is a picture of me. If you know me you know I am not one to post a picture of just myself. BUT I wanted to have record of my haircut. I got it the night before I left for California. It was actually a trim to get it back to the haircut I had 4 weeks before. Anyway I LOVE it. It takes me 1 minute to dry and style it LITERALLY!! But that is not why I like it, that is just an awesome bonus!! And Linus likes it too. He is always bugging me to cut my hair!

Bubble Mania

Yesterday I bought a bubble machine at Target. When I got it out she said "bubble". I guess she saw bubbles on the box and just knew. So today Payten and I went outside to play with it. She had a ton of fun running after the bubbles. There was a slight breeze so sometimes they would go far. They even sat on top of the grass and then she would poke them with her fingers!! She LOVES bubbles.

You can hear Payten at the very beginning of this video barking (a very high pitched bark) because she hears Tippy barking at the front door. Then she decides to say bubble for me on video!!! She said it all the time but wouldn't say it while I was filming.

I love that she is so excited about ALL the bubbles!!

Valentines Weekend

Payten was so happy when we were flying to Payson because we put a headset on her so she could hear us(her other headset is pink but only blocks the loud sound), but did not plug in the mike so we did not have to hear her!!!!! PERFECT!!

About 5 or so minutes before we landed (only a 1/2 hr flight total) she fell asleep. SOOOOO cute!

We were surprised that Payson still had snow on the ground. Here is a picture of the airport. It was very pretty to fly over! Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures when we got there. Next time I promise I will take pictures!!! We went out to dinner with Linus' parents for Valentines Dinner. We left Payten at home with Troy and Christian. She was napping and woke up only 5 minutes before we got home. I have to say that I missed her terribly. It was the first time we went to dinner without her. Not as fabulous as everyone says!! But then again we loooooove spending time with her. I am very attached! Then Sunday we went to church with them, that was very nice having extra people to entertain Payten during sacrament.

We flew back Sunday afternoon and saw Grandpa at the airport. Payten LOVES her grandpa and LOVES airplanes. I truly think she thinks she owns the place. She certainly walks around like she does, it's really cute to watch. And everyone is so nice to her.

Grandpa pulled up to the plane we flew in a golf cart, needless to say Payten thought it was hers. Sorry Abby, she got to drive it before you!!!! She sure is spoiled!! (OHHHH forgive my screeching voice in this video)

Family Weekend

Weekend before last my brother Jacob blessed his son Jaxon so we got to have family come into town!!
Tippy had a hard time decided whose lap to sit on. But it turns out she always liked Grandmas lap best.

Payten had fun in the back yard coloring with chalk and running around in circles!! Believe it or not she kept her sun glasses on the whole time. I think she knows she looked good in them!!! Yah I know white trash baby in a white onsie and a truck in the back yard, what can I say!!

That Saturday the weekend before we had a pick nick at freestone park with my siblings here in Az and my dad and step mom Debbie. It was lots of fun. Unfortunately no pictures turned out of my little family and i still need to get pics of the whole family from other people!! But I do have this cute pic of Linus helping Payten climb a tree!! Needless to say I was shocked when I turned and saw this. Shortly after that Payten took a bad fall off of where one of the retaining walls are. Scared us half to death. Luckily just a bloody mouth and a few scratches on her face and head!! After that pics were out of the question!!

So Sunday night we were playing and enjoying Payten and I noticed something. Her dress was on backwards. All day, all through church. And she has worn this dress several times before (the right way!). I don't know what was wrong with me and why I did this. I guess I was just in a hurry!! She was so tired and needed a nap so i decided to put her down in a BIG GIRL bed. I laid her down on a PILLOW under the covers with her new pink turtle and a binki (Thanks to Nonnie who had one!). I left and closed the door. I completely expected to hear her at the door crying to get out. After all this is the first time ever not in a crib or pack n play. After a few minutes I checked on her and she was fast asleep in the EXACT position I left her in. After an hour and a half I checked on her again and when I opened the door she saw/heard me and held her binki out and got our of bed!! I could not believe it. She is such a good little girl. Don't get me wrong I am sure when we make the switch she will test me!! I can hope though!!

This past Saturday Linus, Payten and I went for a scenic drive. It was absolutely beautiful. we took the pictures in downtown Ojai. It was a nice little town. We got out of the car to walk Payten around. We walked up to the fountain and she stopped and starred at it. Like she had never seen one before. Maybe it is new for her memories. Any way I thought her face was really cute when she was starring at it!

We are so excited for many more Christmas' with Payten. We couldn't be more blessed. She is truly such a Joy to be around. We love her SO VERY MUCH. We had a little family Christmas get together last night. It was nice to see everyone. The cousins had tons of fun playing together. Thanks to Kaylani and Jake for hosting us!!

All of the children are gathered around Aunt Shannon, as usual:)!! They always lover her!

For most of the evening Payten could be found in the playroom playing with her cousin Tacey. Payten LOVED the play houses!! She ran in and out of them the whole night. Then she discovered she could exit through the window instead!! Then she ran in through the door and out through the window over and over and over again!!!

Here is a video of Payten going through the window. She had more difficulty going throuhg this window cause it is taller. The other house the window was a little shorter.

Looks like the house may be on fire, better exit through the window!! I just love my little girl!!

We decorated Gingerbread men at Lynsey's house today while they did a house. Let's just say neither Payten or I are pros!! In fact she may be better than me. She was no too into it, which was to be expected! She tried all the candy and wasn't too thrilled with those either, I guess she does not like gum drops. Next year we will do the gingerbread house. Lynsey's turned out much better than our!! Of course everythig she does turns out better!!! But it was fun!

Decorating

Well Payten is almost 16 months old and I am still working on her room. Mostly because I am picky. I could never find letters that I liked to put above her bed. They were all just too simple and I would have had to paint them and put a lot of work into them. So I helped out in a boutique a couple weeks ago and sat next to someone who did the vinyl lettering. She had something like these but that were blocks and said sisters. I told her this was EXACTLY what I wanted except on thin wood and with ribbons to hang on her wall. I think it turned out PERFECT!!!

As for the shadow box. I have been meaning to do it for a long time now and just have procrastinated doing it. It is still not done (obviously cause it is lying on the bed and not hung on the wall!). I need to get the lettering and at the top put "Madyson Payten Hollobaugh" and at the bottom put "September 30, 2007" . This is the dress and shoes my mom knitted for her and that she was blessed in. It is one of my most cherished things. The picture does it no justice. It it 26x20 ( I think) or maybe even bigger. HUGE!! It is made to put a sports jersey in. Anyway when I get it done I will post and try to take a good picture, but not til after the holidays!!

I have been trying to find something besides saying "no" and the usual scolding. I feel like that is all I do all day. So yesterday we tried time out. IT WORKED. Payten hated it. Linus got on me for taking a picture of her but I said I had to have the first time so I could remember it and blog about it!! then today I did it 2 times while Linus was gone we did it again tonight and she sat there for Linus CRYING and waiting for him to press the button on the timer. She pretty much stayed this time reluctantly and crying, of course, the whole time until we told her to come. And then she snapped out of it just like that!!! Hopefully it works for a while or she is going to have one sore bum:)

Well, I never thought it would be this difficult. Maybe it would have been easier if we did not try to do it by our selves but OHHHH well!! It was after church AND she had a Poopy diaper. I did not want to change it. It would have made things worse. Taking off her shoes, black panties, tights and then change her diaper and try to get them all back on again??!!! After a while I brought Tippy in hoping it would help. It did a little at least she was not screaming any more!!There were a couple that turned out decent so those were the winners!! next year maybe she will sit still for a few seconds!!!

For those of you that know me well know that I think a baby or rather MY baby should smell a particular way. Babies are suppose to smell like baby magic NOT Johnson and Johnson!! This is what I grew up with and is the only smell that smells like a baby to me. SORRY if I offend anyone:). Well for years they did not make it, as recently as when my niece Tacey was born. I thought Oh no, she wont smell like a baby. WELLLLL when I was pregnant with Payten it came back and smelled EXACTLY the way I remembered. Well the past month or so I have been running low so I bought some more. I put it on her and it smelled YUCKY!! I took it back and thought it was rancid and bought another one. Lets just say I have bought 4 and returned them. I went online and read other people disgusted that they changed the scent again. I am SOOOOOO mad. Seriously I think the other stuff stinks. I went online and on ebay searching. I found some original scent, even in the old bottles!! WOW at least $20-30 a bottle!!!! I guess it is like liquid gold. So this week I am going to a bunch of stores and smell and put on their baby magic in hopes I will find an original scent. Did I tell you they changed it and kept it in the same bottle. Today I went to the store and they have a different color pink lid now. Very deceiving before to not put it in a different bottle. How many others put it on their baby and thought it stunk. At least with a different color one might have checked. SOOOO if any one happens to have old baby magic lying around let me know!!! thanks for letting me rant!!

Shoe Fetish

Payten has a things for shoes. Especially my shoes and if they are high heels. I try to keep her out of my heels, I don't want her to break them. If there is not a pair out she goes in my closet and gets 1 shoe. She puts them on just 1 foot and walks all over the house. Especially the tile. She loves the sound my shoes make. She hardly ever chooses Daddy's shoes, I guess they are not noisy enough. Last night she tried to put my fuzzy slippers on. Linus put them on both feet and she was in Heaven.

Tinker Bells Fight

Tinker bell got in a fight with the step in the entry way tonight. I think the stair won, she just laid there and cried. Poor thing it thudded so hard, just perfect right on the straight corner!! Her first goose egg. You can see the line in the middle of it from the grout. I cannot believe it took till now. I thought for sure while she was wobbly or crawling, etc. she would have done it. Oh well, she will sleep well tonight!!

Tonight we had our Halloween Chili cook off Ward Party. Payten dressed up as Tinker Bell. She had a blast. She ran around playing with all the kids like a big girl. Then she started doing this hop/leap throwing an arm in the air. I have no clue why she started doing it. She did it non stop. Everyone laughed and watched her. Someone actually asked me if she was in gymnastics or something. What a little stinker. I think I need to put her in something next year. Love that little girl!!

Oh, I know her outfit looked short. It was 12-18 months (she is 14months) I did not try it on before tonight. Either she is really tall or it runs really small or both!!

We are so proud of Linus. Yesterday he just received his instrument rating!! If you know anything about flight training you would me proud of him too. It took a lot of time and hard work. Now he just has a couple more ratings to go. Hopefully those will be quick ones. We sure miss him when he is gone so much. Payten will cry at the garage door at night. It makes me sad, but I know how much she loves him!! We are so proud of all his hard work!! We love you!!

Tonight after the park we also decided it was time for Tippy to have a bath. Well, Payten had a bad diaper so I put her in the bath before bed. Next thing I know Linus puts the dog in the bath so I ran for the camera (of course). Who knew she would find it so funny and amusing. She absolutely loves her doggie. Every kid needs a dog. It really teaches them so much. I need to video Payten feeding Tippy. It is her job and she does it every night with her daddy! It is too cute!

My friend Summer and I took the girls to the park today. This was Payten's first time in a swing. Needless to say she LOVED it!! She giggled and laughed the whole time. I am sure daddy will be taking her soon too, we wished he could have been with us but someone has to work right?!?! I cannot believe I have not done that with her till now. She also had fun going down the slide. She even did it by herself (only halfway though). What a little daredevil!!

Little Landscaper

This weekend we worked on landscaping our back yard. The first few hours Payten took a nap. Then when we started again in the early evening, she was up to help!! Oh how she loved climbing, falling and rolling in the dirt. Later when daddy turned on the hose it turned into a fabulously muddy mess!! These pictures don't show how muddy she really was. But she loved it, and was ready to be done too!!

First of all, YES I feed my baby canned food. BUT, there was sliced cheese and diced tomatoes that she completely ate too. She loves her spaghettio's. The picture does not quite show all of the damage. She is orange all over her lower tummy and thighs. Needless to say I threw her in the tub after. I then had to clean the tub due to the orange ring!! I usually but a bowl bib thing on her but thought I would just strip her to her diaper. I will always do the bowl bib, it really helps control the mess and I usually do not have to give her a bath after she eats!!

Here is my little ANGEL'S one year old pictures. I think they turned out super cute. I just love Target. She was such a good little girl. She lasted 10-15 minutes which is pretty good for a 1 yr old who just wants to make a run for it out of the studio laughing all the way!! I am glad she stayed happy for a while to get some good shots. Especially the one of her whole body. That one was really important to me. So I don't believe in buying your children things and spoiling them. I don't buy her toys or anything. I don't want to collect a bunch of stuff. I have been talking that I cannot wait until Payten turned 2 and the Christmas she is 2. We want to buy her a Radio Flyer Off Road wagon and a radio flyer bike, couldn't decide which one for which occasion. We were at Target last Saturday (before Labor Day) and Linus found this wagon HALF PRICE($55)!!! It was the EXACT one we wanted too. They are pricey wagons! Well, needless to say we bought it, who could pass up that deal right! So I said she would have to wait until Halloween and go trick or treating in it. Well we got home and Linus HAD to put it together. I think her daddy loves her too much. She had a blast riding in it the next evening. Did you know it has a 200lb weight limit. I guess it comes in handy when your daddy wants to ride down the hill with you huh!!

Payten's First Birthday!

Payten had a very nice 1st Birthday. She loved being sang to (I think?). She LOVED eating her cake OF COURSE. She ate it all in a matter of a couple minutes. She had cake all the way up in her arm pits, it must have been REALLY good! She got a few things one was a dolly and a doll stroller. She liked pushing it around. She looks like such a big girl doing it.

Today she also had her Doctors appointment. All was well! She chunked up to 19lbs 1oz. the 20th% up from the 7th% last appt. (3mnths ago) She is 30" tall, still in the 75th for her height. I am so blessed to have a healthy Happy little girl. I love spending every minute of every day with her. She makes my life absolutely WONDERFUL! I truly have the best life!!

Talking on the phone

A few weeks ago I caught her acting like she was talking on the phone. I finally got a picture of it tonight. She was pretty excited that I did not snag my cell phone RIGHT away from her! It is funny that they learn these thing so early! This will be the last post before she turns 1! this is the eve of her birthday. I am filled with excitement and sadness too. I love that she is growing up, it is just a little too fast. I still miss that little newborn. But at the same time I love her walking around and acting all grown up!!

Visiting Great Grandpa

Today we visited Linus' grandpa, Payten's great grandpa that is 93, at Banner Baywood Hospital after he had his hip surgery. He fed Payten some Ice chips, she had lots of fun running the halls, then she gave him a nice kiss goodbye. She has so much fun walking, it is ALL she wants to do!!

Just a little something for me to remember. Payten has been walking all over this past week. She loves it smiles and laughs all the time. She would rather walk from place to place in the house instead of crawling. We don't even ask her to, she does it all of the time on her own. She still falls and is kind of wobbly. But she loves it and is getting really good at it. She is sure growing up fast!!
